Discovery in Genomics

Scientists in the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics, who explore questions about the fundamental nature of organisms, have developed significantly faster methods for detecting genome mutations, and are analyzing the vast amounts of information revealed by these new methods. Their work was enhanced during the Aspire campaign by support for innovative research projects that could lead to a greater understanding of cancer and other diseases.
