Teaching and Learning: Professorships, Preceptorships, and Fellowships

The Aspire campaign provided significant support for teaching and learning, the core of Princeton’s mission. It established 26 new endowed professorships, which are awarded to those scholars whose contributions to teaching and discovery have an impact far beyond the Princeton campus; seven new preceptorships, which recognize early-career scholars of great potential; and 25 graduate fellowships, which support graduate students who help to break new ground in both traditional and emerging disciplines.

“To be successful in the 21st century, just as in the 18th century, a society requires citizens who are steeped in history, literature, languages, culture, and scientific and technological ideas from ancient times to the present.”
